Hopping up FL to Cheaspeake

What are the best inlets from Canaveral to Morehead City? We plan to leave in August from Canaveral - might go directly to Morehead, but just considering a stop or two ... a lot of extra miles in and out but would break up the trip. Recommended inlets anyone? and is there a more current aerial photo book than the 2001 guide book?

Get some charts, check out the class a inlets.

Lots of nice places to stop along the way including many class A inlets. Charleston would be my favorite. Lots to see and do there. You don't have to make a long trip up a river like Savanha or Jacsonville.

Brunswick GA, and Georgetown SC are also good cruisers stops although they are in shore a ways.

Steve Dodge's Inlet Guide has good pictures and discussion of all inlets on East Coast.
