Great Stop in the Bahamas

after a 9 year absence from eluethra, we just pulled in to rock sound, eleuthra and WOW, it was even better than we remembered. this is the place to go if you are a cruiser passing through to points sounth in the fall or points north in the summer. it's also the place to come to if you want peace and quiet (i know, after this blog it may be a little less p&q) with all the amenities of the big city: a REAL grocery store(several)/ liquor stores/ great hardware and NAPA stores/restaurants &bars/wi-fi from the boat/etc. above all the people here are giving, friendly andhonest. the place is clean and orderly and is great cruising in prevailing weather. there is 360 degree protection here and good holding for the most part. you can easily go to the exumas (30 km away) or north up the island to really cool eleuthran towns. go south to cat island (don't forget the treendous rake'n' scrape festival in early june) or long island. this place has it all and we HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who hasn't checked it out. let's hear from you all who have or plan to...you will NOT be disappointed!!!! enjoy......

Good information. We didn't go this year, but it sounds like a "not to be missed" for next.
