I have to agree with boatman. I am going to do my first run to Bermuda next year as well. Leaving from Nova Scotia around the month of november or october. I can only leave for the winter right now (kids, wife, work etc.etc) Plan to go farther longer later but this seems like a good start.

Boatman misses the point they idea is to go to the Azores. Indeedy doing fine till the hang a right to St Martin! Why not hang a left to tha Azores in May when everyone else is going that way to the Med?

As I said in my earlier post you do not have to rhumb line it from Nova Scotia! You can go as far south as you like (Bermuda is a bit excessive). And especially if the OP is still getting a feel of the boat a nice run south of Novia Scotia could be good.

The other trip is for girls.

I will be doing the ICW sometime soon, and then, naturally, it won't be for girls. I will be going on the tough, macho side of the W! To make it even tougher I am going to stop at every All You Can Eat Ribs restaurants! Stuff those Hillbillies they ain't seen NOTHIN!!!!!!!!

I try not to read posts before I reply to them.
It makes my answers much more correct

Maybe the Beluga whales will break a path for him to the ocean
