RO definitely does strip some stuff, how much of what I suppose depends on the RO system. A secondary effect is why ultra pure water like in some high tech factories is actually toxic - it is literally H2O only : because if ingest a lot over time, the water actually draws minerals from your body.

In tropics I probably drink at least 2 liters of water a day. Maybe it is in my head, but cramping reduces when I take supplements especially magnesium.
