Re: DIY boat yards near NYC
Norwalk Cove Marina can haul a catamaran and I’m pretty sure allows you to do your own work.

I was thinking it didn’t make sense, but if I can get a short haul and just do this quick and then keep going that’s fine.

Re: DIY boat yards near NYC
Maybe not that helpful since you're specifically looking to paint but FWIW we haul each year at Dimeglio's Marina in Mill Basin. You can do everything there EXCEPT paint which is the one task they handle.

Forget my beam for a moment. I'm considering arranging with a boat yard and hiring a crane to pull the boat since there are nearly no marinas that can pull it.
Or a commercial place would work.
I desperately need to do my bottom paint.
Would also consider doing it between tides somewhere if anyone has more brilliant ideas than I do for that to maximize dry time for the work. Probably could do one hull at a time so paint has more time to dry. Would need to scrape and scuff before paint application.
An inflatable work raft to lift one hull out of the water would be cool. Or any other method that tips it a bit to lift one hull out
But a diy marina near NYC would be good

Two that I know of here in NJ. The one I'm in, Shore point Marina off the Toms River (have to cover the ground and use a vacuum/sander. David Beaton & Sons/ Brick NJ, at the top of Barnegat Bay before the canal entrance back out the Manasquan river/ Inlet.

Re: DIY boat yards near NYC
Try Patsy's Bay Marina in Stony Point, NY 1-845-786-5270. You can take the ferry at Haverstraw, NY over to the east side of the Hudson to Ossining and then take Metro North RR down to Grand Central Terminal. The marina is a 13 minute drive from the ferry terminal. I haven't had my boat there since I'm a kayaker, but I did make a call for you and they do allow DIY maintenance and have haul out services.

Re: DIY boat yards near NYC
dont know it you have used a crane before on a cat . But from experience I recommend that you use a spreader above each hull sling . In my experience we collapsed the top of the hulls inward when the boat wasnt perfectly level on the loaded end.

Re: DIY boat yards near NYC
I’m probably too late to the party, but we’ve been hauled out and did plenty of work at Captains Cove in Bridgeport.

Re: DIY boat yards near NYC
Crows Nest Marina in Oceanside, NY is a DIY yard. Take the LIRR to East Rockaway. The yard is right there, less than half a mile from the station. However, it's NY, so the one thing they won't let you DIY is bottom paint (state environmental laws). Beam is an issue for their lift, I'm 16' and it's tight. But if you hire a crane, that's not an issue.

Re: DIY boat yards near NYC
Not sure if you would consider this “near,” but If you are willing to run up the Connecticut River 15 or 25 miles Midway Marina in Haddam, CT and Yankee Boatyard in Portland, CT are both reasonably priced DIY marinas. We don’t have many multi hulls around here, but I have seen a cat at Yankee, much smaller than yours. Yards closer to Long Island Sound tend to be more restrictive in what they will let you do and pricier in my experience.

They do your paint. I guess this is true of all of New York and Connecticut.

Nah there’s plenty of yards that will let you do your own paint. But most you won’t fit in.
I think we did our own paint in captains cove boatyard, but I believe they were bought since then. It’s right near Bridgeport boat works.

DIY boat yards near NYC
Evers Marina in the Bronx.
Not sure if they are still active or whether they would have room for your cat.
