Aw c'mon our boat will be in until November. Fall sailing in Maine is great. I went for a sail today and it was dry, crisp and typical fall gorgeous add to that great wind and it's tough to beat Maine in the fall. Only saw one other sailboat out and no knuckle heads doing "This is lucky ducky looking for a radio check on 16"...... We ski in the winter so sailing in October is WARM comparatively speaking.

It's all about gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, warm clothes, and hot chocolate!

And watch out for Right whales - at night we bumpbed into a dead one entangled in the nets just as CG was making an announcement on the radio...

i will be leaving maine just before 1st of november,going as fast as possible to the southern usa and bahamas..doesnt compare to scalloping in january and feb on a metal boat !!!

Rougher offshore seas in the fall and winter months... Have your safety gear and EPIRB with you. Write up a good float plan.
