Crossing Atlantic to Med Via Greenland - July '09

Im looking to cross the Alantic in mid July. I want to avoid any hurican activity so I decieded to hug the coast and make my way up to Greenland. Chill out there for a few minnutes and make my way south to the Med. I think it would be a fun trip that I stumbled across by trying to travel during hurican season. I was wondering if any one had do it and any info would be much appreaceated.

Do you have Jimmy Cornell's "World Cruising Routes"? I'm at my cabin so I don't have it here but you should be able to plan the trip from it. Any chance of leaving one month earlier?
