Colombia to St. Maarten . . .

Just wanted to know, if anyone knows the best and cheapest way to get from Ecuador or Colombia to St. Maarten island... I´ve got told the best way is to fly from Aruba... any suggestions?

Cheers, Michael

There are regular flights from Caracao but St. Maarten is overcrowded and expensive and immigration people are downright rude. Stay in S. America and enjoy.

It is getting pretty tough to work here without a work permit. Immigration is on the warpath so do not mention anything about working here. If you are not a citizen of the Netherlands Antilles or Holland and are caught working here you can be deported. Some immigration officers are ok but there are some really nasty ones that seem to delight in causing you grief.

Thx for the tip! I actually decided for St. Marteen, cause i just travelled a few days with Chad, a guy who is living and working on St. Maarten since more or less 15 years... and from what he told me, it seems like with my qualifications in hospitality i shouldn´t have it too hard to find a good job.
I am not looking forward to work on the island, but on the boats as a chef or steward... that shouldn`t give too many problems with the immigration there!? (but of course i won´t mention, that i wanna work, when i arrive there... ,=)
