Re: Clearing into Bahamas

Take a read through this thread on that subject. As of today it is still just as confusing.

We are 52 feet. They charged us $300 for 6 months cruising and fishing permit for the boat. Clearing in at North Bimini in Early January.

On arrival they gave us 90 day visas, easily extended at the local immigration office.

Re: Clearing into Bahamas

We're a 33' boat and paid $150 this past winter. If I understood it correctly our cruising permit was good for a year but our Visas were only stamped for 90 days. You could extend the Visa for a fee. I was so excited to be checked in (Spanish Wells) that I didn't press the customs official with a hundred questions on specifics. Great trip and looking forward to next time!
