Charterring and Sailing in Cuba

Hello All, new to this forum and it's nice to see a good helpful community of sailors out there.

I'm looking to spend a few weeks sailing in Cuba in late Feb (im from the UK so should be no visa problems), probably 10 days on a bareboat and 4 days on land in Havana and Cienfuegos after the sailing. There seems to be a rather limited bareboat charter industry in the area though there are a few boats available, mainly the same few boats being punted about by different charter operations at different prices!!

Just wonderring whether anybody had any advice that they could give, contacts in relation to charter that they might be able to help with or anything else at all that may be relevant.

In the back of my mind also is the Maldives for a bareboat trip but really really struggling to find and charter companies out there. Maybe seychelles too but i think the cruising grounds are really restricted to the inner islands by the charter companies.

Thanks in advance

I haven't been there yet despite the fact it seems easier for european boats to visit, but have seen a cruising guide "Cuba by Nigel Calder" which looks pretty comprehensive.
