We keep our Lagoon 400 in Fajardo PR and sail to Culebra, Vieques, USVI, & BVI depending on what we want to do and how long we have to do it. I agree with the other posts that checking out of BVI just to go to PR to pick up family at the San Juan airport is not the best use of your charter time unless you have two weeks or more and you want to see the Spanish Virgin Islands. You might also consider chartering out of PR. A main factor in our decision to put our boat in PR was due to cheap direct flights from Tampa. Flights for our next escape were just $86 per person each way.

Seriously, you are on vacation, they are on vacation. Spend the $$ and have them meet you in the BVI.

Yes, Culebra is nice, so are the USVI. But you aren't chartering out of the USVI, you are chartering in the BVI. It just isn't THAT expensive to get from SJJ to EIS.
