I am plannig to go to miami next wednesday and wanted to find a bareboat to make a short trip to bahamas... but from here (spain) I can not find suitable options (only a couple of options.. with no information on rates..etc..).
You're better off chartering out of Nassau. Most Florida bareboats don't go to the Bahamas due to conditions for gulf stream crossing. Sometimes you have to wait a week or two this time of the year before getting proper conditions, especially if it's your first trip. If you want a short trip to the Bahamas I suggest a power boat or one of those 3 day cruise ships.

As Vasco indicated, bareboat companies typically don't cross the gulf stream from Florida to the Bahamas. There are however several charter companies in the Abacos (Bahamas) including Sunsail and The Moorings, which are an easy 1-hour flight from Miami. Both Sunsail and the Moorings (both owned by Tui Marine, operate out of Marsh Harbour).
After heavy rains I have been disconnected from the internet ( connectors sunk !) ... thanks all the crew for your advices.... hope to enjoy bahamas and promise to keep all informed..
Once again.. thanks !!
