Bahamas Covid tests

What ports of entry in Abaco have the required Covid tests for entry?

Re: Bahamas Covid tests

Then clear in at West End for the first test and go to Marsh Harbor for the second, or wait 5 days at West End. No other options I'm aware of for the Abacos at this time.

Re: Bahamas Covid tests

GTC says they will be port of entry as of 11/1 and will have testing, got that info recently in an email they sent out, and sounds as though your second test can be elsewhere so standby tings they are a cha ngin’

Re: Bahamas Covid tests

Any idea of the cost of the tests?

I did not see mention of costs on the Bahamas entry website.

Re: Bahamas Covid tests

This page says the cost of the two rapid tests is included in the cost of your visa.

dougweibel; get access denied
have been trying to figure out how to get tested in lauderdale, get results, apply for health permit (bahamas web site now says you have to have covid test results to post with permit application); get permit - about 3 days; get some weather and cross - alice town. cannot be done in 5 days; back down from the 7 days they had for a little while

Re: Bahamas Covid tests

We recently sailed from Beaufort,NC to Spanish wells. We cleared in with no issues even though we were the first ones the custom officer had cleared under the new protocol.
We used Everlywell mail-in covid tests and it took two to fit within the 5 day limit. When we saw a weather window develop we took our first test which we had results the next day after mailing the kit in. We used those results to apply for a health visa. Health visa approval took about an hour.
Prior to casting our lines off the dock, we took another test and put those in the ups drop box. Our transit took 4 days. When we arrived we had a negative result in our email that was less than 5 days old from our arrival. While it was a hassle and expensive (each test is $120), it can be done.

Re: Bahamas Covid tests

The page I posted previously from the Bahamas regarding tourism appears to have been taken down. The current corresponding page no longer says that the fee for the rapid Covid tests are included in the Visa.

There is new information now that says for arrivals after November 14 the cost of the Travel Health Visa will be dependent on the length of your stay and will include the fee for Covid health insurance for the length of your stay.

Does anyone have any info on the (post 11/14) fee for the Visa?
