Anyone Know Where to Find Online Sailboats for Sale in Puerto Rico ?

Hi,

I am living downhere in Puerto Rico and to my surprise I am having difficulty finding many sailboat classifieds. I have searched the usual suspects without any results (ie. yachtworld, sailboats listing, you get the picture). I should specify Im looking for a used under 30 ft sailboat that is less than 10000 US. I know about clasificados already. The usvi would be fine too. Anyone got any ideas where people list their boats down here?

All At Sea is available online, as is Caribbean Compass. Both have classifdes in the back listing used boats throughout the Caribbean... inclusing Puerto Rico.

But if I were you - I'd just go over to Fajardo and walk the docks at Marina del Rey. Speak to the yard manager and let him know what you're looking for.

Or take the seaplane to St Thomas and speak to Bruce or Terry or Maritime Yacht Sales at Independent Boat Yard... or Jose at St Thomas Yacht Sales at Compas Point. And tell 'em I sent you.

There are LOTS of boats that fit your criteria in both PR & the USVI.

Thanks for the links, I actually hadnt checked craigslist. Yea, the easiest thing is to just go over to fajardo and walk around. It is just a little amazing to me to not be able to find listings in the major online classifieds. Thanks again.

If you are in PR just go to Puerto Del Rey in Fajardo and visit the brokers there. they may have some of their listing nearby.

Thanks for all the links. I have been over to fajardo before, and it is definately the easiest way to find out whats available here. I live on the opposite side of the island so I normally dont travel there often. That is another thing I founds strange, there doesnt seem to be much of a sailing community at all on the west coast. Anyone know why this is.

Go out to Puerto del Rey, near Fajardo, and ask Virginia in the office.
She can probably point you in the right direction.
If nothing else PDR is the LARGEST marina in PR and all of the Caribbean!
A really good marina too.
