I would wait. Not that electric dinghy motors are bad tech, but the limiting factor is the energy density of lithium batteries. Dinghys just don't have the carrying capacity of the mother ship which prevents you from installing large solar arrays and big battery banks to account for the lower energy density. Although I have converted the mother ship to electric, I will continue to use a two stroke gasoline outboard for the dinghy.
