we are planning to haul out this European winter (Oct 16 - Apr 17) either in Sicily or southern mainland Italy. Ragusa looks like a good choice, but we were wondering if anyone else has any advice on either Ragusa or a better alternative.
Re: Wintering in Sicily or southern mainland Italy
So you stayed onboard all winter in the marina? I'm kicking around the idea of taking in the AC in Bermuda next June then spending the summer in the Med. naturally I would need to either winter aboard or fly home. This is a useful thread for me. cheers!

Many thanks.
If living aboard, Ragusa is a good community. The yard is not so perfect. If not living aboard, you might consider Dubrovnik. On the east coast of mainland Italy there are a couple of marinas desperate for business, new but empty so you might be able to do a deal.
