where to winter with a cat

new to the med just sailed across the Atlantic and in Algarve region now but very hard to find any marinas for our lagoon 450(is it wise to keep sailing into the med )? so advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated

November - December and probably until April, Med is cold and can be nasty with strong winds and short and deep waves. The good side is that marinas are empty (most boats are already pulled on dry..) and the marina prices are very low. If you don't want to sail , there are many marinas available in Portugal, Spain and possibly the cheapest ones in Sicilly.

May I suggest Almerimar marina, it lies about 120nm East of Gibraltar, very reasonably priced and has all the services you may require from haulouts, chandlery, sail makers etc plus a large and very good supermarket on site.
English is spoken by the staff, security is good and the berths well protected from weather.. Airport and mainline trains to Madrid just a half hour away.
