Peter, sorry, I (we?) may have misunderstood your original post.
Not sure why there is not more activity in this specific section, but if you have a question specific on the cruising area then post it and I expect that will generate some activity.

what you are doing is akin to buying "the sunday times" and only looking in the "lifts wanted section" of the classifieds.

Thank you your gesture.

Hi Peter
Happy birthday for yesterday!
I think one reason for the lack of threads in the Med forum is that it is hard to find. I think most people click once on "Forums" then select an appropriate one to post on (the Med forum is not on this list). It took me ages to realise that if you double clicked it took you to a whole different list of forums. Others must be making the same mistake too.
Even being aware now, I am loathe to post in sections many people may not be checking.

Re: Where areYOU ??????????????
Well, it seems that most of the yachties I have met over the summer have parked their boats in the marinas and either have already left or are preparing to shut down their yachts until March/April.
I can only think that as they pursue shorebased activities during the winter months, looking at sailing related forums is low on their priority list.

Re: Where areYOU ??????????????
Hmm I think that you may have hit the nail on the head.
Many yachts are locked up and owners are away.

Peter, I also am not sure I understand your question. We have many members who contribute on a regular basis, as well as many members like yourself who benefit mostly from reading and yet who contribute less often.
As usual, we welcome new threads asking for pertinent information about cruising and boats - after all that is what we are here for! If you feel you are not receiving relevant new info, perhaps you could create a thread asking for the relevant info you would require about cruising.
