After 4 charters in Greece - several 10 yrs ago and one this May.
The trend continues - It appears that "certain" european, eastern european and into Russiamen use Greek charters as many men in the USA use golf. A get away week(s) just for the guys. The charter companies certainly chase this segment as they get big boats to fit the 6-8-10 men. One charter company mgr told me that men from one country do not even bargain - they want the biggest and best........and I saw some examples of it.
It was refreshing to see a few boats with equal numbers of YOUNG men and women.
Worse - the only silver lining to the cooler & unsettled weather this May was that no speedos were on display - nothing like 10 not so in shape men late in the happy hour with those outfits - :roll eyes:
Then add cockpit singing at XX hr after midnight returning from a late dinner & hours in the bar when you are jammed into a MedMoor quay - wonderful
Here in the Adriatic 90% of yachts are crewed by 8 naked Polish or German sailors, we have joked about exactly this subject so many times!!!!

ha ha ... reminds me of a day in the Caribbean when a yacht pulled up infront of us. When I next looked up thre was a but naked guy showering right in front of us on his back step ... I nearly fell over backwards and just when I called Ana and said 'Can it get worse than this?' he bent down to pick up the soap ... man ... talk about a scene breaker. We lifted anchor and found a new spot ... I cant tell you how that vision haunts me to this day ... a hairy bad arsed butt!
Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
"Either way - guys - the question is not an excuse for a load of pictures ridiculing or objectifying women"
The photo in post 5 of "Pink Lady" was taken by my wife, one of the crew.
When I see female sailors most often it's either a wife sailing with her husband, or a family, often chartering in popular charter areas like the BVIs. Bringing one (or two) along myself is another way I see a female sailor frequently.
