weather channels/websites for the Med?

We are about to leave for a charter out of Kos for a month. Can someone please advise what they consider to be the best channel or website for weather conditions in that area?.

Re: weather channels/websites for the Med?

We use Weather4DPro or the updated Weather4D Routing app which is recommending based apon the forecast, to stay put in our safe anchorage today. We picked out the anchorage (blue dot) based on the info Weather4DPro provided yesterday and the day before. It’s giving us wind and rain everything we need. I’ve tried all the others for several years including Pocketgribs, PredictWind etc, I like using this one the best and it’s the most accurate.

Tall order Getting a handle on forecast accuracy from a few observations on one boat isn't an easy thing to do without some extensive logging and plotting, doubt if many do that.

windy.com gets better every week, select the reported wind windsock icon bottom right and then click on a station it will show the previous 3 days actual and model forecast. Can be handy to check for local effects if there's a station in a convenient spot.

Re: weather channels/websites for the Med?

We sail the Dodecanese archipelago, we use Poseidon.hcmr.gr (used by port police and Greek coast guards) and Predictwind.com. Both are reliable. Check the weather every day!
Enjoy these fantastic sailing grounds and don’t miss Nisyros, the volcanic island. Dock in Palon harbor (newly dredge) rent a car from Eagles nest rentals, ask him for a map and directions and walk on the floor of a live volcano!
Fair winds and great sailing

We are cruising the Dodecanes and the Coast of Turkey for three years and are using Poseidon, metro.gr, windy and windfinder. Windfinder is a especially for local influences at the islands.
Best regards
