Valletta arrival time

I was wondering what is the best period of the day to enter Valletta harbour? I seem to recall reading that it is either early morning or late afternoon due to the direction of the sun on the golden sandstone buildings. I plan to be there in a few days time.

Re: Valletta arrival time

Both Valetta harbours are facing NE towards the sea and are accessible at all time. The fortification walls in Marsamxett Harbour catch the evening sun.
