Wow! 12 berths in a 45-ft Gibsea sailing yacht. Way too crowded for most of us! And he wants people to pay 35 euros per day for that luxury while pounding to windward on a time schedule.
Yeah; right. It would be the experience of a lifetime.

Re: Turkey to Portugal Cruise
We are offering people to come sailing if they wish.
If they are in the right place at the right time.
Turkey Greece Italy Sardinia Spain Gib Portugal
We are charging just for FOOD provisions on the trip
We will be stopping at 10/12 different locations and people can join us along route
People can get on / off as they please
12 berth will not be filled. It's just to show there's
plenty of room. 1 pers per berth.
Itinary for the squeemish ones:-
Leaving Marmaris for a slow sail to Rhodes stop overnight,
then similar stop-overs for the next 3 nights to various
Greek Islands in an easterly direction.
Then hard slog from furthest Greek port for 4 days / night full sail.
Those that don't want it can "alight"
2 days in port of Sicily poss Sciacca or / Marsalla or both.
Those that wish to join the cruise can have a 2 day cruise round Sicily.
Or carry on to Cagliari Sardinia 1 day.
Scary bit coming up....... Long cruise 4/5 days to Spain Roquetes,
3 day stop then Gib, Tafia, Barbate, 2 day stop. Then onto Faro as the crow flies.
People can join along the route. Caviar's off.
As you can imagine we will need lots of provisions, as most of
these harbours are unknown to us and I doubt there will be a Tesco Metro there.
Provisions will be required and plenty of them.
So yes we will be charging, you don't really think the Capitan will
be paying out of his own pocket.

try advertising a reasonable price, like £10-15 a day, then you won't be seen as a commercial enterprise for which i doubt the boat or the skipper are coded or insured for,but regardless 1900 miles in 4 weeks to windward is no picknic! half the crew will be spewing most of the time so you will save a lot on food.................

Mate's buying boat we are flying out to take it to it's new home in Algarve, (where he lives).......just thought people might like to join, and it's not just food.
Harbour fees (been caught out before). Diesel (as and when req.)
If you've ever been on a long sail food is an important requirement also plenty of drinking water / juice drinks etc.
There will be Bread, biscuits, cake, choc bars (various) Lemonade, coke, fresh orange juice, cheese, ham, croissants, cooked meats, tins of beans, tomatoes, sweetcorn, fresh fruit, eggs, sausages, minced meat, onions, spam.
You been food shopping lately ? 35 euros = £29

I'm with you there Atoll. I'd reckon on 5-7 euro a day per head for provisions. As you say fuel and berthing and repairs etc are fixed costs the owner should bear.
Anything more than that and it's a profit making trip with all the attendant implications.

Its not , unfortunately, uncommon, to see " clever" owners, think they can sail where they want, subsidised by " crew" ( as an aside they are all crew or you better have lots of licenses )
Its unfortunate that people with more money then sense , then join such activities and perpetuate the problem.
4 crew off on an agreed sailing holiday is one thing, the " I'm going to A and B and I want you to subsidise it is quite another)
I presume sir , since this is a profit making , fixed charge regime, you have a commercial coded boat, correct licenses and appropriate insurance covering passangers,( crew dont pay to be aboard )
I really wish this sort of nonsense was stamped out in boating , it also infects the delivery industry too
Dave
