Hello All,

I will go from Malta to Tunisia in fall and have already several possible Marinas / Yards to stay for the winter. Anybody with PERSONAL experiences in Tunisia, particularly:

1. Marina Yasmine, Hammamet
2. Marina El Kantaoui, near Sousse
3. Marina Cap Monastir, Monastir
4. Port de Peche, Monastir

Other suggestions are certainly welcome. Thanks.

we spent 6 months in Sidi Bou Said not very far from Tunis in the early 70's the main problem then was the slow speed of the workforce, and you could forget getting anything done during Rammadan. Most foreign boats went to Malta for anything more than minor work. In fact some kept their boats in Malta and flew via Rome to go sailing. Those ones worked for American aid organisations or United Nations, your average sailor couldn't afford to do that. Perhaps things have changed since then, but then again some things never change.
