Tragedy at a lighthouse

The light house at Texel has a double wall. It was damaged during WW2. The last battle of WW2 took place at the site of the lighthouse.

"It was one of the last battles in the European theatre.[1][2]"

That old cloud of war again.

Re: Tragedy at a lighthouse

Wow, that’s quite a story!
We had our own lighthouse battle here in Miami. In the 1830’s the Seminoles attacked the Cape Florida Lighthouse. They killed the keepers helper and the keeper was in so much pain he tried to kill himself by blowing up the lighthouse.
Here is a link to the story.

1 As to the decisions that were made by the Georgians , no judgement, as
a person would have had to walk in their boots with the SS going to murder you.

Thanks so much for posting.
Nice to find a vlogger telling a story about something/one besides themselves.
