Re: Storm Ruth Coming to UK!
i don't know whats all the fuss is about,i just got off the bilbao-portsmouth ferry after crossing the biscay last night!
a few trees down, and i saw a lorry on its side in dorset on the drive back to cornwall, blue skies once the front passed.
but i think i will have to apply for some disaster relife compensation.........as my home gets flooded twice a day regular as clockwork...........lucky it is a boat!.............

I sure am glad my boat is three miles up the Hamble River right now! I sure am sorry I'm three thousand mikes away from her, however

Re: Storm Ruth Coming to UK!
A friend of mine from Didcot has to stay in London because the Oxford train station (and presumably, the rail line) is flooded. My sense is that the only part of the Thames not currently in flood is just upstream from the tidal barrier in London...the rest is now a sort of long, skinny lake.
I'm glad my relatives in Cardiff live up the hill in Penarth instead of down at the water.
