Solent to Rouen

I am planing on sailing to Rouen in France with the intention of unstepping the mast to take my boat to the Med though the French waterways.

I would not be doing it in one go but, leaving my boat unattended for a couple of months at a time due to work/family commitments.

Does anyone know of moorings between Rouen and the South of France. I have only been able to find a few.

Does anyone have experience with the locks are they manageable single handed?

another good solution is to go down via the tip of Brittany to Gironde, many ports and yards to leave the boat, then in 2 weeks by the 'canal du midi' to join the Mediterranean Sea
