Solar Panel & Victron Supplier in Europe

I am taking delivery in February in La Rochelle and I am looking for a Solar panel and Victron supplier in Europe. With current supply chain issues I want to make sure I have everything ordered with adequate lead times.

I have talked to my dealer, but they usually only deal with local marine suppliers and that means tiny flexible panels. I am looking for full size rigid panels.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yeah, I am talking to them about my Winston cells, but their Solar panels are too small. Seems like a great place for the batteries.

Thanks!

Actually I was wrong!!!

I was looking at the wrong page. They actually have some really good options on the panels. They are "ELERIX" panels. I wonder how they compare to LG or SunPower on quality? They are about half the cost, almost too good to be true!

Re: Solar Panel & Victron Supplier in Europe

The bi-facial LG panels look interesting. With an extra 10-26% increase on a 440w panel that soon adds up to a lot of extra power. £325 in the UK.

Re: Solar Panel & Victron Supplier in Europe

There are now hundred different brand of solars around. Price and performance wise they aren't much different, to make the things easier take out the cheapest and most expensive one and pick up any of those which are in the middle.. Choosing the right place, good cabling, MPPT's, circuit breakers etc. are more important.

Cheers

Re: Solar Panel & Victron Supplier in Europe

Thanks for all of the replies. I have actually ordered everything already from a supplier in France that was suggested from this thread. Some of the really high output panels on the market also are larger and this accounts for the higher wattage rated. The LG Bifacial do look interesting but I have chosen to go with SunPower as I got a very good price on them. I am using full size rigid panels at 400 watts each. The other issue right now is that many of the options are not actually available even if they show "In-Stock". So making a choice for something means you need to make sure you can actually get it. I just went thru quite a process to get an outboard for the dinghy.

Interesting times for sure!!!!
