Sailing the East Coast of Sicily

Hey everyone, I could really use some help with my Sicily itinerary for our trip this May. A friend of ours is getting married in Syracusa and we need to stay in the area for 2 nights. We're doing a 1 week charter out of Capo d’Orlando marina on a 42' Bali Cat. I have my ASA certifications 101, 103, 104 and 114 and trained on a 47' FP but I don't feel comfortable sailing a new destination myself yet so we'll be hiring a skipper. Knowing we have 1 week with 2 nights in Syracusa. How would you all recommend we spend our time? I wish I could do 2 weeks but budgeting makes it impossible. Thank you all for your help!
