Yacht Weeks in Croatia are the bane of anyone else who is in their general vicinity.

Rude, noisy and antisocial.

Hi,
I will be sailing in Croatia the last 2 weeks of July in the area around Split and will be crossing from Italy. I will be there for 2 weeks in June as well.
Agree about Yacht Week... it is terrible when they are there

I am chartering a Lagoon 450 out of Sibenik July 4 to 11. Debating Kornati Islands or down to Hvar/Vis.

You do not hv much time for Konati islands. Very nice but book at least 2 wk charter next time. For only 1 wk I wld go Brac (stop at Boli beach on S coast if you like), Vis, Bisevo. At Bisevo there are two most extraordinary caves. To get the best from the blue grotto visit 0930-1130. After that the sun does not hv such a favourable angle to reflect the colours into th grotto.there is another at SE corner (Monk Seal Grotto). Then sail New, stop at Solva (Jorja or Livka probably the best) . After that if you wish to see a bit of a historical town then Trogir wld be excellent. Approach it frm the West.

Once you hv done all that and made it back to yr marina in Split yr one wk will be finished.

Hv a good time.

I hv charted a Jeanneau 45DS frm Split for 3 wks in Aug. At that time Konati area too congested. Better to go S. I am going to Dubrovnik.

Hey! I'm hoping to help crew in Croatia from 11 til 19 July. If anyone could put me in touch with a skipper that would be great.

I actually have a skippers license and was planning on bare-boating but I'm finding it hard to gather enough people!

About me- I'm 37, based in Lebanon with the UN.
