Northern Italy and the Po River

Hi there,
Have you had any experience navigating the Po River in northern Italy? My husband and I are trying to figure out whether or not it's possible to get our sailing catamaran from the Adriatic via the Po River and the Ticino River, to then get the boat into Lake Maggiore... We're finding it very difficult to gather the necessary information to learn if it's even possible... Any help or advice will be appreciated.

Although I can't personally help you with the information you need, you may want to post your question on the Seven Seas Cruising Association bulletin board at www.ssca.org. They have cruisers all over the world and there will likely be someone with first hand experience in the area you are interested in.

Also flußauf endet der Mincio für uns Motorbootfahrer an einem Wehr in Mantua. Für Kanuten ist das aber kein Hindernis. So ist das leider.
Wir haben aber die Fahrt den Po flußauf und dann den Mincio bis Mantua Porto Catena (alter Festungshafen) letztes Jahr gemacht. Der Mincio fließt hier durch ein Landschaftsschutzgebiet mit unglaublicher Schönheit. Lohnt sich - empfehle es nachzumachen!
