North Cyprus - Spare Parts

We have just arrived in Girne.

If you intend to come to North Cyprus it is well worth stocking up on any spare parts and chandlery items before you arrive as we have found that many items have to be ordered from overseas and can take anything from two weeks to eight weeks to arrive and clear customs!

The staff at Delta Marine are very helpful and can arrange for mechanics etc.

We are heading for Karpaz Gate Marina which is 50 miles from Girne - at present there is no public transport, so we are stocking up with food etc before we leave!

yes that is the down side of the place ie parts but i do belive the chandlers will open end of august in marina when there last month they where just finishing of building but for food and other items the mini market should be opening in marina shortly and there is a main supermarket only 5 kms from marina who will deliver your food supplies,
riv when you get there look up Brian Dixon he is a british yachtsman there he arived a few days after me he will be of good help and info i hope to be back in 3 to 4 weeks

ps dont forget to fill fuel tanks too in girne and also the water supply in marina is drinking water i had it tested and it is very very clean water

and oh the wi fii is now up and running in the marina as well
