No Mention of The Solent !

Don't forget The Solent guys, some exceptional sailing to had around here, great little harbours and ports, technically challenging and a great launch pad for France and the Channel Islands...

Terrible place, thousands of yachts clogging up the water throughout the summer. Odd races which start in Cowes have a gale near a rock in Ireland and finish in Plymouth, I mean how do you get the boat back

Marinas who could teach Somalia pirates a thing or too

Can't wait to escape to somewhere else

Pete

In Gosport

Well, I had some great sailing last weekend on the Mersey, blasted up the river at 11kts through the water, under staysail and 2 reefs in the main, and with the flood tide, was past Garston in no time and having to haul about before running out of water.
Next week weather permitting is a single handed down to Wales, something to look forward to.

Actually for those into boats of all kinds it's a pretty magical place, but please don't tell everyone
