Need to leave boat 1 month in Brest, France or close.
Hi folks,
I may need to leave the boat for a few weeks in or near Brest, France in a few weeks time.
Brest marinas are approximately €38 per night... They can shove that where the sun don't shine!
My boat is 39ft monthly, 11.62m with 13 Ft/3.4m beam. Draft 1.8m
Any thoughts where's beast, cheapest with flight connections, and plenty of single girls of low moral fortitude?
Thanks,
Mark <--- currently in Horta, the Azores.

You're probably on the money at that price, monthly rate might be less if you haggle but it's coming up to high season.
You may have to bite the bullet, chance of getting anything a lot cheaper is slim, as far as I know.
Good luck!

Heard camaret is 20€ a day for 10m if you stay 7days, better but not that much. Or maybe get a buoy much cheaper if you ask around. Trek to an airport though, where you flying to? Not sure there's much choice from brest

Re: Need to leave boat 1 month in Brest, France or close.
Port Launay, Chateulin alongside, in a Rade river. Camaret on a buoy or pontoon, Aber Ildut on dumbells, L'aberwrach marina, or Morlaix on North coast, there used to be quite a few livabords there. Strangely, the first 3 although in the Brest inlet are much further from Brest airport than the others by car. The french Livre du Bord almanac should give the contact details, most harbours contacts seem to be available on web.
The French can be extremely helpful to yachtsmen in need!

how long ?
perhaps the solution is to store the boat ashore, shipyards have space in summer
I'm near Lorient, if you need ...
I can also ask in my marina (Monthly contract ?)

Try the new marina in Roscoff
A bit further north

Call them for a quote
Stayed there last year for a few days on the way south to Portugal
