Mohammedia Morocco

Anyone been to Mohammedia recently?
Im thinking we might need 24hrs shelter from some head winds heading from gib to the canaries later this week. Long story but we had to turn back a few days ago when the shaft seal failed and we took on a LOT of water. Going back in the water tomorrow and need to get to santa cruz ASAP.
Does anyone know if i can just anchor behind the breakwall in the designated anchoring area for around 12-24hrs without clearing customs?

Re: Mohammedia Morocco

I don't think they (police) would let you anchor there. Mohammedia is commercial port with a fuel terminal. But there's a small but active yacht club there. Give them a call or email them, I am quite sure they will be able to accommodate you.

La Marina | yacht club mohammedia

They speak french by the way.
