I am presently in Marjorca Spain. Incredible place to sail. Anybody ever sail there?
There is a Cala every half mile to explore.
Wine is cheap and good, food unbelivable.
Do it if you can!

Great place so long as you can anchor and not go into a marina. South East is the most popular area but can get very crowded. Try Cala Sa Nau but try and get in there BEFORE 10 am!

Try Minorca.
As said above marinas are expensive but many nice anchorages.

Spent several pleasant weeks in Mallorca back in 2006. Not much sailing, but still very enjoyable. Especially enjoyed Puerto de Andraitx.

Ahh Andratx.. fond memories of my times there on the hook.. before they made it into a mooring field.

I prefer Ibiza myself. Much more relaxed, plus it's smaller so easier to get around and find shelter. In Mallorca you can get stuck on the West Coast, with only really Soller for a bit of shelter or make an 8 hour run for somewhere more protected.

That being said highlights from my visits have been Cala Torta, Canyamel, The long stretch of beach north of Sant Jordi, and Sa Calabra.

I didn't bother with Isla de Cabrera, too many rules and messing about, nor dragon island (so what there are lizards). Anywhere in the whole of Palma Bay is to be avoided for bad swell. And no, hiding in Xinxell doesn't help. Never been impressed with Andratx, nor Santa Ponsa where every anchors in the middle of the bay full of weed.

Water is free from Port Adriano, Alcudia, and Cala Nova when filling up with fuel. It's about €5 from Ratjada. There is no water available from Porto Colom without a lot of hassle.

Overall it is a good place for cruising though.
