Marina for a 38 foot Cat in Central Adriatic Italy?
Would appreciate any recommendations for a marina with the facility to pull out and store our Lagoon 380 for 8 months from September. Idealyl with some boat services - mechanics etc, and not too far north.
Happy to share our mostly positive experiences with Cleopatra marina in Preveza.
Thanks
ange

We are looking as well Ange. Anywhere between Croatia, Split area, to Greece or SE Italy. The ones around Preveza are all around 2000EU for a Lagoon 380 for 6 months
messolongi 2103
ionian 2147
cleopatra 2167
aktio 2029
So Cleopatra was OK? Dubrovnik may be an option as well. I will let you know what we find and keep us updated as well please. Maybe we can do a deal if we have a few cats to haul out. You're not interested in heading back to Preveza area?

Hi Monte
We had thought to go back to Preveza - and may yet - it worked well last year. However coming up to Croatia was such a slog we thought to check out options further North.
Like the idea of a deal. Thanks for dropping in prices. I've emailed some Italian marinas will keep you posted. Have one expensive croation quote somewhere (circular filing cabinet).
One thing to factor is the Greek taxes - we are from outside EU so paid an extra fee on top for the boat being in the country even though it was hauled out. From memory was several hundred Euro - will confirm.
Cheers Ange

yes I believe the Tax will be about 200 EU/3 months in Greece. At least heading South is downwind now

Re: Marina for a 38 foot Cat in Central Adriatic Italy?
Quick update: ACI Dubrovnik channel too narrow to haul out L380. Piskera closes over winter. Have asked sales team to supply quote across all ACI marinas. Over 5000 was quoted by a local broker - yikes, Greece or Italy looking more likely. Some friends recommend Mali Losinj - probably a bit far up for us, but maybe.

We saw a small cat there, and their travel lift is big enough, but the marina told us the lift out channel is too narrow. Eyeballing it tonight, I'd agree. Disappointing, as the location would be great.

Price for crane is 321 euros one operation.
Tax is including in the price.

That's more within cooee, factoring in Greek taxes and distance. We were in the marina there a couple weeks ago. Didn't see much sign of services or people working on boats - nor many yachts more power boats etc. Handy location though. Pretty interested.

Re: Marina for a 38 foot Cat in Central Adriatic Italy?
So thats responses from two different marinas in Bar? Very close in prices, OMC looks well resourced. I've asked if they'd have an offer for two (worth a crack). We are looking at 8 months. I'm still waiting for the Croatia marina responses, but think they will be higher. FYI we anchored in a lovely bay on the way up from Montenegro, in Bigova, on the South side of Kotor.

Re: Marina for a 38 foot Cat in Central Adriatic Italy?
yeah Ange and let them know the price is 1000EU cheaper in Greece and we are considering that as well. Maybe 25% discount for 2...
Where are you now anyway? We just arrived in Hvar
