There is a pump out facility. As to whether it is operational, good question. It's on the breakwater part which apparently has electric problems.

However, if you own a large Motor yacht, you may decide to miss out the middle man (i.e. don't use the shower or toilets provided by the marina) use your own on board facilities and dump straight into the marina.

I agree with the marina rules...I even suggested a few of them and suggested one which they apparently have not included: Locking down wind generators as long as power is available on the pontoons. The majority of the marinas we have visited around the world have similar rules. I believe that these rules improve the neighborhood in which we live.

When I posted the press release it was to help others with a better view of Karpaz Gate Marina. I was certain that you would post an opposing view. Now those using CF for information have your view and my view...they are different. I feel that people will now be able to make an informed decision, and that is what CF readers should hope for.

I should point out that in the Eastern Med we have only visited 4 marinas: Zea, Agios Nikolaos, Yat Marin and Karpaz...so my opinion is based on limited information. I continue to believe that there is little comparison between Karpaz and Yat Marin. If a person likes Yat Marin, I am fairly certain that they would not like Karpaz. Neither Marina is perfect for everyone. All things considered, we prefer Karpaz over Yat Marin...we have experienced both. The next time we are in Marmaris we plan to try Netsel.

Bill ,well i am glad they ignored one of your suggestions re wind generators i just got elec bill which is for 27 days of elec supply of which i only have it tickle feeding my batteries and the bill Came to a WHOPPING 176 euros so when i come out next week my wind generator will be going up and mains power disconnected

Wow unbelievable!! Can someone go over to my cat and unplug me if im plugged in? When I left there was no power on the dock , and Im hoping no one plugged me in!Ram

yer ram it will be interesting what the other yacht elec bills are like i spent 3 months this time last yr in ZEA Marina hooked up to shore power and only cost me 45 euros

Well, reading this thread, I think the best for me is to forget Karpas Gate Marina as a destination.
