Greece in August?

So, friends are flying into Athens mid august (in a week!) and really want to charter a boat (preferably cat) for the week. I have a contact with FYLY who can get me a deal on a 50' mono, but it will be just the 4 of us. There's also a Lagoon 42 with Sailing In Blue for €5600, but I can't find any info on them. The staff has been super helpful, but no reviews anywhere and no one from FYLY has heard of them.

It's all last-minute and few yachts available, so we're limited. Any thoughts from folks here? TIA!

Re: Greece in August?

Hi keelhauled, I've had a quick look for you and there is a 2021 Bali Catspace available out of Alimos that could be good for you, with 45% off for the coming week, so €5140. It's with a much more reputable operator than Sailing in Blue (who I wouldn't touch), too. PM me if interested!

Thanks for that; unfortunately we have already booked. So, we'll roll the dice and report back on this thread for the next folks...

Re: Greece in August?

Forget Greece, there are major fires some out of control, as the temperature is scorchy hot at the moment.

Go here instead. Beautiful country, locals speak your lingo, super sailing.

No worries, hope you have a great week, the weather looks like it'll be very nice past Hydra and off towards the Peloponnese!
