Question From Bodrum to Santorini (Thira)

hello

In June (3-18) our idea is to sail for 2 weeks (Bavaria 50 ft).
Bodrum-Kos-Leros-Kalymnos-Patmos-Levitha-Schoinoussa-Ios- Santorini (but as Vlikhada is silted I don't know, if we will stay there overnight)- Astypaleia-Nisyros-Bodrum.

I have already been sailing to Patmos, Santorini, Ios and Levitha a few years ago. Has someone better or other suggestions or nice places for anchoring on Schoinoussa, Leros, Kalymnos, Nysiros or Kos ? Good typical restaurants ? Txs!

PS : I loved places like Naoussa in Paros, Serifos

Frederik

well i do love anchoring up in little Irakia but you can moor up there if enough space and i also think Amorgos is good as for Iso for me its a no too much swell from the ferrys and if i was heading to santorini i would drop tha anchor at perissa beach ( depending on wind ) or go around to Thirasia/Ormos korfou ( nice Tavenas here) I am leaving syros on monday heading down to serifos then onto Ilraki and naxos so we may see each other

Re: From Bodrum to Santorini (Thira)

Thats a lot of sailing!

in Santorini that marina was too bad for us.
There were a number of yachts anchored right next to the volcano at 036 23.616 N 025 23.230 E so that could be the go.
I dunno what you do with the dinghy but others there will know. It might be possable to lang on the volcano and go to town by the ferry.

Have fun.

Loved Syros!

Re: From Bodrum to Santorini (Thira)

Hi Beneteau-500,
Sorry for not answering before, but we are now back to France (Corsica) since a week a and I did not had a look to CF for weeks... We agree about Syros, wonderful Island, but I thing there are less than 10 inhabited islands i don't know in the Aegean and in fact the are all very interesting... But I prefer spring and autumn to sail there even if it was little bit windy and rainy that year...
I hope we will meet each other another time...
