Re: French canals

My French nautical almanac says nothing about demasting facilities in Rouen but mentions 2 cranes in Le Havre marina.

To contact Rouen for more information: port office +33 2 35 08 30 59, mobile +33 7 61 03 66 18
Plaisance@metropole-rouen-normandie.fr

To contact Le Havre marina:
Tel: +33 2 35 21 23 95
Fax: +33 2 35 22 72 72
capitainerie@lehavre-plaisance.fr

The website of Sète port has a page in English for the services at the marina: Marina services | Port de Sète
It mentions a 8t crane. To contact the port office:
Tel : +33 4.67.74.98.97
Fax : +33 4.67.74.15.57
portstclair@portsuddefrance-sete.fr

Re: French canals

I had my 15m mast removed recently in a marina without a crane for this. The rigger just ordered a mobile crane service on a truck for the work. In the end, the crane truck was cheaper than removing the mast in the other yard with the specialised crane.

You might want to talk to a rigger operating in the area.
