There's a pilot for every country. The Croatia and Greece ones are amazing Albania and Montenegro are terrible. I have only seen those 4.

We've been pleased with several Imray guides. Six months is not enough time.

Re: Cruising the Mediterranean

I recently ordered one for Sardinia & Corsica via Amazon.com in America. It took a week to receive it.

Re: Cruising the Mediterranean

For Croatia Albania and Montenegro this one is the best:

Guide de navigation 777 Harbours and Anchorages Eastern Adriatic

But it works better if you have the Imray guide too.

Don't miss Montenegro and Kotor

Re: Cruising the Mediterranean

Imray are good. Determine what the most recent version is & ensure you get it if you're thinking of buying in a chandlery.

Re: Cruising the Mediterranean

Last year I cruised for 6 months from Northern Italy to Elba, Corsica and Sardinia. I could not find an English cruising guide anywhere along the way for these places - nada! Plenty in Italian. My advice is to get your guides in English beforehand.

Start with The Mediterranean | JimB Sail, and then look at the pages that leads to. That will give you a broad idea of areas you may wish to spend time in.

Once you have decided which areas to cruise, you can see the range of pilot guides available through the "Bookshop" tab at the top of the page

Re: Cruising the Mediterranean

Take a look also at the World Cruising and Sailing Wiki (World Cruising and Sailing Wiki - a Cruising Guide on the World Cruising and Sailing Wiki), which has a lot of free information, much of it more up to date than the pilot books.
