Re: Cheapest dry storage in the Med?

Greg,
Good tradesmen are key - I hope to hear from others who have had work done and get some good references.
Thanks for the response!

Anyone who has refitted in the Med would be most helpful.
Albatross marina marmaris. Contact yeloya a member on here. Cat specialist.

Did my initial fit out in France when I bought my cat and my second one in marmaris - they fixed the French stuff ups quite nicely

There are good options in Greece also around preveza or Athens but avoid leros marina for any serious work from personal experience.

I'm driving to Port Napoleon on Saturday to look at the dry storage there. They were recommended in the Imray cruising guide.

Tom and Maje,
I look forward to hearing from you - are you going to have any work done on your boat? That will be key for us to prepare a few 'post-factory' additions and tweaks in order to be ready for the ARC at the end of the season.
Cheers

I can personally recommend Port Napoleon marina and hardstand, the best service and has a full complement of tradesmen as individual businesses. This will be my fifth year using the hardstand, prices are good , they have an excellent restaurant and the only negative is that the location is a bit isolated but they have a bicycle hire if needed to go into Port St Louis du Rhône to do shopping. Also there is a bus service nearby that goes to Arles and the TGV station.

We are going to have work done. I need to reconfigure the enclosure, get the bottom painted, have work done on the engines, and I want to add cork flooring to the cockpit. I'm going to talk to people about getting quotes.

What kind of boat do you have, and where are you now?

Re: Cheapest dry storage in the Med?

We are taking delivery summer 2020. The factory will do some things but not others e.g. plumb the propane to the BBQ.
We want to sail for a season or two before we decide on a helm station bimini/cover. Many people have told us it isn't necessary as most fo the sailing is done by AP and only in port/maneuvers are done at the helm.
There will be few other tweaks, some customized cabinetry, etc.
Thanks for the recommendation!
