Expensive to one person is cheap to another and vis versa. Offering a price range would help others help you. I can recommend Marmaris Yacht marina for safe and secure. As to cheap, you will have to decide what that means. Kos is probably a lower price than Marmaris

I am sorry if the request sounded confusing. I am looking for the "cheapest" and that can not be tacky or unsafe but not expensive for anyone, can it? if this was the East Coast of the US I would be looking for Stingray Point Boat Works (US$110/month for ANY boat) or Deltaville Boatyard (US$4/ft/month), both in Deltaville, VA.
I am having difficulty in getting th efin efolks at Marmaris to respond to my emails. Can you please give me an idea of the prices people have been paying for dry storage there? I would GREATLY appreciate that.
Cheers
C

Many thanks. I sent an email to them too. I guess this Mediterranean souls are not too quick to respond but I will wait.

Re: Cheapest dry storage in the Med?
Cleopatra was the most expensive of the 4 yards in Preveza when we checked. We went with ionion marine next door - more flexible with pricing if you get in early ;-)
One we havnt used but was very cheap and handy to athens airport was Lavrio municipal yard - mainly used by the charter fleet there. was around 1/2 the price of anything else we got quoted.

Re: Cheapest dry storage in the Med?
We were quoted 130 euro per month for 12m cat plus hauls (negotiated direct with the crane operators) no office to email though - more a hands on kinda place as most of the cheapest yards in greece seem to be ie you would probably need to be there personally with your boat to sort a deal out. But if you really want the cheapest in the med thats probably what you need to do

Re: Cheapest dry storage in the Med?
I spent two summers in Ionion Marine, Aktio Marine, is next door and is cheaper still and pretty efficient
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.9484.../data=!3m1!1e3
from bottom to top is Cleopatra. Ionion and Aktio. The airport is close, with flights to major airports in Europe. Call Jenny at Karyatis Travel for best flight prices

I have just recived their quote. In & Out of water: 345 € Storage per month: 92 €(!!!). This is the lowest I have seen for a 40-ft monohull in the Med.

Thank you Barra for being the only responder that actually provided useable information.
With everyone else saying: Cheap, cheaper, dear, double price, but saying no real numbers is pretty useless.
While I am not currently looking for Med storage, i was interested in knowing, but certainly not in emailing anyone. Besides, emails don't work very well in europe in general, if waiting for an answer.

Many thanks, you won the prize. Their quote for a 40-foot monohull is 345 € for in and out and 92 € /month storage, which gives a total of 897 € for a 6-month period.
