Farage has not finished. He will be back if Johnsons idea of Brexit does not conform to a Brexit. He is not interested in political office. He stood his party down to enable BREXIT. Right now Brexit is in the process of happening..........

Brexit has not happened yet.

He will be finished when Brexit is delivered properly.
Im not a follower of Farage. But for 25 years he has presented the Brexit viewpoint, in my researched opinion, and that is difficult to validate with the press being the way it is, I think he has presented with integrity.

Personally, i don't want unification of Europe politically or militarily. That is not how it was presented initially. Stick to trade agreements with benefits and leave it at that...

The reason for all this mess with the UK is that they see the ever-encroaching political overlay.

Id love to stay a member, but not as a vassal country. Just trade

Well this is an answer I can understand. It does not even matter if I agree, it is how you see things and I respect that. For you the only option is Brexit because anything more than an FTA needs common oversight and you are not willing to do that. It's an honest position.

As for Farage, maybe he will reinvent himself, but making it in a FPTP electoral system is a high goal. If he succeeds it means the tories are dead in a ditch beside labour.

Re: BREXIT

One of the biggest changes in the UK will be that we lose our daily soap opera enacted in parliament, televised to the masses,by various politically affiliated news disinformation services.

This will leave a big vacuum in peoples lives, possibly to be filled with new programs like

"A day in the life of our new Minister for Labour Camps,Workhouses and Immigrant relocation centers, hosted by Jacob Rees Mogg."

"Farage and Trump do Disney land"

Celebrity Big brother "Marxists in the Gulags"

on morning tv

"what your pound buys!"

"coping with immigrants next door"

"A new life in the sun,Tel-Aviv"

"Loopholes for LandLords"

popular evening programs

"Post Brexit Cooking Challenge!"

"How to do small surgical operations at home"

"Choosing a health and travel insurance provider"

"Self Defence In The EU"

"Euthanasia,A pensioners guide"

"Brave New World"

etcetarar.........

An inland boater has to love rain, it keeps the locks operational and the boat afloat. The way to beat it is to carry some large sacks of welsh coal on board and keep the stove always glowing red. That dries the tweed on your back and if you add some daylamps will feel like Spain. But, just like in Spain you will need to chill the beer to proper "warm" drinking temperature, and that might take a custom fridge.

Apparently this is exactly why a rather convincing number of British voters recently cast their votes the way they did. Maybe they feel confident they can manage their own affairs just as capably as people in Brussels. Or, if not, maybe they find that governing themselves less capably is nevertheless more desirable.

An entirely new force perhaps, or maybe the old force which made LibDems popular before they took to the fringe. The UK isn't the only place around these days experiencing a backlash against this fringe.

I bet "Farage and Trump do Disney land" would get the highest ratings.

I think the best the LibDem's ever managed was the 57 seats they won in 2010 when Nick Clegg pledged to abolish Student Fees.. they formed a coalition with Cameron and then failed to deliver.
2015 saw them back down to just 8 MP's.. today I think its just 13..
Doubt they will ever be an Opposition Party.

Thought you were talking about the Labour Party. According to Wiki (fwiw), the recent UK election was the worst showing for Labour since 1935.

Re: BREXIT

Sorry atoll but you will have to adapt to the new politically correct language and stop using that retrograd rethoric of yesteryear. There are no words like Labour, immigrants, etc. in Borisland, try to remember that from now on. I'll translate your programs to the new order speech, but just once:

But, as most problems are now unable to be handled by local sovereign governments (see immigration, climate change, health care, resource depletion, corporate irresponsibility, etc.) thanks to 'globalization', not likely a good one. Before Brexit even happens, Weavis is already planning to 'succumb' to a new master, albeit, perhaps temporarily.

Sounds kinda the reverse of 'freedom'. Though I don't know what the rules for change in the 'EU/UK agreement' (or whatever it's called) were previously, given politicians gelatinous spines (or should we say 'multitudinous responsibilities'?) nowadays, I know I'd have preferred to stay and try to work out whatever problems the 'leavers' had with the current agreement.

I don't think I'm alone when I say I think that the Brexiteers, much like the Trumpsters and the Bolsoneros, have been sold a bill of goods...

Ahh, the pleasures of 'Democracy and Affluence'---Plato's 'Enlightened Aristocracy' is ever more attractive...too bad it's, like the the hopes of those mentioned above, more likely to turn out to be just a case of 'the grass being greener over there'.

We'll all be lucky if the grass doesn't turn out to be poison.

I think I know the problem. You think your presence or action makes a difference.

See how politics eroded the choice of the people in the UK and NO ONE implemented the results of the referendum and still have not?

I want to see the canals of the UK........ No one is interested in that, so for a year or more it will be a pleasant time........

Somehow people dont get it. We dont really matter.

I think I will stick to narrowboat because the widebeam cannot traverse some of the locks.

What evidence do you have that suggests they didn't try and work these problems out? Over many years. More recently when it came to the immigration issue. I recall vehement objections to the mandates being loudly protested but falling on deaf ears. What compromises did the EU implement in an attempt to work out grievances on the part of the "leavers?" How did the UK reciprocate, if at all?
