Badalona, Spain

Hello

Anyone has any experiences about Badalona Marina in Spain? We are just getting winter berth offers around Barcelona and most of the marinas in and around the city are from 250 euros to close to a 300 euros per month.

However, Badalona, which to us doesn't seem to be too far from the city center, is offering a winter berth for just 111 euros per month?

It seems so suspiciously cheap price, that there must be something wrong with the marina? Anyone care to comment?

Re: Badalona, Spain

We stay in the Marina for four years now and we are very happy with it.
We choose it because of the good price compared to the other marinas.
It is quiet, good protected. The downside is that there is a ugly powerplant next to it and you have to take the bus to the next train/tram station to get to the city.
there are restaurants and no discothekes.
I hope this info is not to late.

Hello

Thank you for your reply. We eventually decided to go to Port Forum marina. However we took our bikes and went to see the Badalona marina too. Looked ok for us and not that far from the city. Perhaps next time.

Seems that there will be shortage of berths soon, as Port Vell will be kicking most boats out of the marina and renovate the marina solely for super yachts.

We loved to stay a few days in Port Vell every year so I am sorry to hear that. Maybe I can convince them that the Brothers in Arms is a super yacht

Re: Badalona, Spain

We have just finished our second Winter at EMV Marine in Badalona, and they have our highest recommendation.

EMV Marine is a Swan Service yard, and they also work with other boats. Your boat can be kept in or out of the water at their location located next to the main marina in Badalona.

EMV has very strong connections with all the regional marine service providers and can help you with any repairs/improvements. (The local B&G service representatives are now located onsite.)

Finally, their people and focus on customer service are the best I've encountered.
