Let's just stop to shop in Vancouver and extend the Holiday... Sigh

I mean you can argue the right and wrong of the rules until you are blue in the face but whatever happened to just following them? The one thing about this situation that really bothers me is the erosion of the "fear" of the border system. I was much happier when the majority of people checked their pockets half a dozen time before they faced an all-powerful border guard. I still feel this way when meeting up with most US CBP officers...

Could it also be attributed to the "denial" factor, wherein people willingly move from area to area during a major health crisis just to go on a vacation?

Oh, when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn?

Sigh... this level of selfishness and narcissism never fails to surprise me. Even though these numbers are small, each one makes it harder for all those who follow in their wake. I sure hope every member of the family was given a $2,000 fine.

As per the article;

She adds that the RCMP want to hear from people who are concerned that visitors may be here illegally.

So, give their non-emergency line a call and see what they have to say about the situation.

US / Canada border restrictions predictions...

Hmmm could always say, I hope you enjoyed your last trip to Canada?

I think if this had been the southern border of the US they would be sitting in a cage.

Isn't it great that we can be better than that .

Canadians pour over border for the US medical care is a dumbest lie. My relatives lived in Vancouver BC and there are no such things. No Canadian is that foolish to pay for the US outrageous medical cost.

Your totally wrong and your relatives are too. Lots of Canadians in southern Ontario go to Buffalo for quick and cheap Cat scans and MRI's. They then take these results if positive to their doctors and start fast tracking here to get into line for radiation or chemo treatments ASAP. It even helps them get into back surgeries, hip or knee replacements up to 1 or 2 years earlier. Here for our free fantastic health care system, you first go to your doctor for a referral to a specialist -6-12 months the norm, then the specialist orders your tests -another 3-9 month wait! If your still alive then they schedule your procedure. All the time the "free medical system" is hoping that you'll be dead and not cost them money.

From what I'm hearing the easiest way to cross the border these days is they look in the Canadian obituaries, then using these names as " their deceased relatives" to cross over.
As per my earlier post, why can't we just test people at the border and airports, charge them the costs and let them go if positive? Especially ones that have property or schooling here. I know what your going to say to that, "well the tests aren't 100% accurate" Well guess what , the vaccines won't be 100% effective either, so are you just going to sit home for the rest of your life with your head up your a** and hope you survive!?!? Not me, times a tickin-so I'm going sailing, hunting, fishing and whatever else turns me on with my bottle of sanitizer, happy labour day! Oh yes, I do take my mask along so if I need to go into a public place along the way I can put it on to protect you.
