UPDATED: A country-by-country guide to Caribbean reopenings

Obviously, everywhere is still entirely fluid as to borders & the "rona"

This guide may be fine for regular fly in tourists, but may lack relevance for cruising sailors.
e.g. to my knowledge ports in Jamaica are not open to foreign cruising boats at this time.

Also the list is only relevant to US citizens.
This is an international forum.

Re: UPDATED: A country-by-country guide to Caribbean reopenings

I've found the U.S. State Department country pages for the Bahamas to be clearer and more up to date than the Bahamas own information which seems to always be mixed and conflicting for the first three or four days after a change comes out. Obviously most relevant for U.S. citizens, but I imagine you own equivalent agency might also be equally useful. I have found the UK Foreign Office to provide even better information than the US DOS for some countries like Colombia, for example.

Re: UPDATED: A country-by-country guide to Caribbean reopenings

It's going to be Caribbean closings again soon.

Aruba closed.
Curacao on alert due the number of cases
All of the French islands have big spikes in cases.

There will be new lockdowns, just in time for the end of the hurricane season.

Yes, never understood that. The US contingent on here mostly post as if they are only speaking to others from the US. Place names, laws, stores, brand names etc.. The rest all recognise it's an international forum. Never understood why everyone isn't more outward looking.

A great place to obtain information is the Noonsite. They have had a page exclusively about COVID-19 restrictions pertaining to visiting yachts at ports of entry worldwide.
There are frequent updates. At the time of this writing the last update was 3 days ago.

That is correct as of 01 September, 2020:

While the airport opened in July – seaports are still closed to small vessels.

Just the messenger posting this fellows..
Again, the "rona" is an entirely in the wild virus so obviously things fluid
for another year,at least.

Notice European infection rates jumping in last few days.

Yes,reading what I posted, it's US centric & more "fly in" apropos and Yes,quite
outdated already.
By all means, post country/port data if/when you find

Noonsite,
https://www.noonsite.com/news/novel-...try-worldwide/

Is updated several times daily.

Stay safe and keep your guard up
All the Best
