Guessing the shot will be good to go as long as it comes when when/if Harris is president?

Also who cares? I won’t bother with a shot for something that has under a 1% chance of killing me, especially with how likely it is I won’t even feel that bad if I get it. Part of me kinda wants to go get confirmed covid so I can say I had it, even though I think I did already.
The video clip of him saying was a deep fake then?

I would not trust a vaccine pushed by ANY politician to further their political objectives, regardless of their political affiliation.

To use Florida terminology, I am "NPA" (No Party Affiliation).

Trump is profoundly corrupt bafoon regardless his political affiliation.

I don’t suppose it was quick because a lot of stuff was tried in parallel rather than in series?
I seem to recall that some guy said we were going to the moon by a certain date and marshaled a bunch of smart people who tried a lot of different ideas all at once until they got down to one idea that worked.
Seems to me that this was is a similar case

Well put.
Otherwise amazing what can be accomplished if you drag people away from things like better boner pill research.

Talk about getting the vaccination rate up.

"Free 100 pills of Viagra with your first Covid jab. Come again after 1 month (no rush) for a second jab and get free 500 tabs of Cialis."

I suppose the artificial selection consequences would have to be considered.

Fortunately we brought back some rocket scientists from Germany after the war, so all we had to do was to make sure the instrument displays converted the metric units to "American" for the astronauts. (Am I doing it right?)

But yes, I think we got somewhat lucky with the vaccine technology timing and were able to make use of something that was already far along the pipeline. The mRNA tech is a delivery platform with an interchangeable payload. In this case, the payload is the isolated code for the spike protein; none of the rest of the virus needs to be present.

Caution - Although every effort has been expended to ensure the safety and efficacy of this vaccine for the novel corona virus (well, mostly)... be aware that some minor side effects may be experienced:
  1. a redness or slight soreness at the injection site, which should subside in 48 hours
  2. mild flu-like symptoms
  3. heightened libido and enhanced sexual stamina
  4. the ability to give and receive multiple, headboard-destroying, wake-the-neighbor climaxes
Contact your physician if effects 1&2 persist. For 3&4, call or text 800 555 6969, ask for Trixie. Include photo.

And, this topic: Covid. How'd he do on THAT?

You want to drive the population through the roof?

But I think you'll have better luck with Oxycodone or an IPAD with today's society.

Trouble is they all are, Trump is not different to the rest of them, except he is inept at hiding it.

So true... it's depressingly hard to have imagined this outcome. Although Huxley's dark vision comes presciently close. We're less 1984 and more Brave New World.

Yes, but the point is, the people putting the "negative spin" on the issue are doing it because they believe it's better if their side wins. Whether others think this is the case depends on one's perspective.

One thing you have to be pretty happy about, is he has to a degree lived up to his pre election hyperbole to withdraw US troops and reduce the amount of drone and elite forces involvement in foreign countries, which Obama and Bush went to town own - Obama more Elite forces and drones rather than just brute army force like Bush.
