Travel Restrictions in the West Indies

I would like to travel in the West Indies starting in late fall to spring next year. Is there a place to find what the restrictions are and what are people doing to plan and cruise. I see the restrictions for air travel but what are the restrictions for sailors?

Re: Travel Restrictions in the West Indies

The West Indies is comprised of a bunch of different nations. The rules for each will be different. You cannot get one answer for "The West Indies."

The good news is that almost all of the nations nowadays have websites, where they keep their restrictions up to date. You will just have to go through each of them (or, at least, the countries you plan to stop in) to see what their specific rules are.

Good luck.

Re: Travel Restrictions in the West Indies

Noonsite (noonsite.com) has been doing a pretty good job keeping up to date on cruiser-related restrictions by country. I'd start there, and then maybe see if there's a Facebook group for the specific spot you want to visit in addition to checking the country website itself.

One challenge during COVID times is that rules can change faster than you can transit from one place to another.

Good luck.
