This may be this year's own goal...
Hint - of course we have Delta, almost only Delta

Delta? Had it, fought it , beat it.
(Except in Vic where it will take a few more weeks.)
How is the Delta outbreak in Lonny going?

Well I don’t know about the vaccine usage in Australia but I do know I am completely dumbfounded by the stuff you are saying. Sounds like a firrin language to me

I don't think I would consider the Desert Review a reliable news source when this is its entire world news section

We don't need no steenking Ivermectin.

I would say you are definitely big pharma's target audience.

Nothing scarier than an effective medicine that the patent has run out on that can be manufactured and sold as a generic.

Re: The Reality of Living in Australia and Covid
Don't read it then, your loss. Stick to approved news sources if that's your shtick. There are things they would rather not mention. How else will you learn them. Those articles have many links. Hope you are right about Delta. Hope you don't repeat the outbreak pattern in Israel, Great Britain, or the USA. Stay safe.

Well it took 'em (BP) a long time to get slowmo to open his wallet, still it seems he finally caved in and let the butterflies out. Talk about long pockets and short arms...

Re: The Reality of Living in Australia and Covid
some more from the real world...
the loosening of covid restrictions in nsw has actually meant TIGHTER restrictions up here in regional nsw, as the whole state becomes aligned with sydney
eg our favourite coffee shop here now only does take-away...if they stayed as a cafe they would need to check all customers jabs and they just cannot be bothered
cheers,

Re: The Reality of Living in Australia and Covid
In other news, the great Aussie cleaner Shannon Lush https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shannon_Lush
claimed pure goanna oil was perfect for making the shower glass transparent again. The only difficulty was sourcing the genuine product and she now recommends using an easier to obtain oil - Apricot kernel oil.
According to her, the 'glass cancer' is due to very small holes in the surface of the glass caused by the caustic by-products of using soap in the shower. Goanna oil has a very small molecular structure and will fill the holes in the glass. As it also has the same refractive index as glass, the holes "disappear" for some months. Apricot kernel oil is similar but washes out more quickly.
Is this related to covid in Australia or sailing in general - I guess not but somewhere just someone will want to know this.

Of course it's related to cruising, Wotname. You just needed to point out the relevancy.
In this case, many of us have glass in our portlights and deadlights. That glass is subject to the same problem - micro-scale pitting caused by chemicals in salt spray, deck wash-down, etc.
My solution (for the portlights, not the shower screens - since I have no shower screen around the shower on Led Myne) is carnauba wax. Carnauba wax can be found at most auto parts stores, on the shelves around waxes and washes for cars.
Carnauba wax (and for that matter goanna salve, goanna liniment) is vegan (in the sense that not many animals died directly in its production. I don't think the smell of a goanna or perentie has been near 'goanna' products since WW2 or earlier (the ingredients list includes: Methyl Salicylate 4.2% w/w, Turpentine Oil 4.2% w/w, Eucalyptus Oil 2.5% w/w, Camphor 0.83% w/w, Peppermint Oil 0.42%, Pine Oil Pumilio 2.5% w/w, Menthol 0.17% - that leaves a lot of room for other muck of course).

Re: The Reality of Living in Australia and Covid
I wish you blokes had kept that quiet, there won't be a goanna left on the continent if it becomes widely known.
